Taylor Rain was born in Long Beach, California. She began doing pornographic video scenes in November of 2001. In approximately two years, she had shot between 200 and 250 scenes. Rain signed an exclusive contract with Legend Video for two years, but was dropped from Legend just one month later. After a brief hiatus from porn, she signed a non-exclusive promotional contract with Astrux Entertainment in August of 2004. Rain made her directorial debut with Ass Up Face Down, a film that she also starred in. In 2005, she auctioned a day with her onset on eBay for $3,900. In March 2005, she won the Howard Stern Porn Star Beauty Pageant. In December 2005, Taylor Rain announced her retirement, citing her desire to settle down and start a family. However, she has since launched her personal website www.clubtaylorrain.com, where she announced in 2006 that she was pregnant, and a month later that she had miscarried. In March 2008, she announced that she was pregnant again and expecting a baby girl.
